The profitable “If this, then what, aha!” session, a foundation for a successfully designed and developed accessible website.
What you learn in this session will not only save you money directly and indirectly when you create an accessible web store or website. It will also give you the foundation to increase conversion rates and sales and successfully apply this knowledge to any future project.
Anyone involved in a web project. Anyone who thinks accessibility integration is overwhelming will walk away from this session feeling relieved and excited. Because afterward, everyone will know where and how to get started. The functional design of the project will have a much better foundation!
There is a lot of scaremongering about the cost of creating and maintaining accessible websites. Some companies like to scare you into thinking that creating and maintaining an accessible website is a gigantic undertaking because it is very complex to understand and execute. But if accessibility isn’t treated as an afterthought, it really isn’t!
From now on, I will refer to this as a ITTW session. It puts everyone involved in creating and maintaining an accessible website or web store in the shoes of visitors in a way you’ve probably never thought about.
When you look at it from their perspective, you’ll quickly understand how easy it is to debunk all the myths about high costs, visual limitations, and the complexity of accessible websites.
Realizing that you didn’t know what you didn’t know all along about your website visitors is a powerful thing. You will understand the “why” in a way that will quickly lead you to learn the “how.”
Furthermore, during this process, I take the opportunity to lay the groundwork for clear communication between everyone involved. Among other things, this means that we will also start here by translating the technical jargon into terms that everyone can understand, and vice versa.
I chose this title because this course will lay the foundation for better functional and technical design for your web project.
Want to take it a step further and want me to write your functional design? Gladly!
Missing instructions, confusing jargon, and misunderstandings can add high costs to your project. Here’s an example of what can happen if all stakeholders aren’t involved in functional design from the start. Because during this process, you have the opportunity to lay the foundation for clear communication. You do not want to miss it!
